It has taken me a long time to get here. Even though courage and strength live inside of me, I am trembling, even now in fear/uncertainty. Today I declared me, my truth. I am a lesbian, I am strong, I am love and beauty. Inside wants out now, my time, my moment is now and I can not remain silent anymore. The struggle has been long, bloody, and gruesome, yet I know it's only the beginning but I trust in my self declaration; I am choosing not to live as someone else other than me, I refuse to shrink to fit the comforts of others, this is my declaration of freedom

Thanks i appreciate the support, it does feel good! it's been really hard bc i am from the midwest (Wisconsin) and there aren't many organizations that support lesbian women of color here, it is lonely but i can say that i am at peace with myself!
